TDIPL, an Associate of Wadhawan Holdings, is setting up a multi-product SEZ alongside Pavna River in Maval Taluka, Dist. Pune, Maharashtra, and is spread over an area of approximately 5,337 Acres. The SEZ policy represents the latest and perhaps a major initiative so far on a pivotal feature of industrial development strategy in the country. This SEZ has been conceived with a view to provide an internationally competitive and enabling environment for exports, through a world class infrastructure over an unprecedented large geographical area.

The site is not only scenic due to presence of water bodies, dams, forests, mountains, caves and river, but is also located in one of the most prosperous belts of the country. The location has excellent road connectivity through the Mumbai - Pune expressway and also has international Sea & Air connection Via Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) Sea port which is about 70 Kms & the proposed international Airport at Chakan is about 18 Kms. The site also belongs to one of the most industrialized and agriculturally intensive regions of the country. Overall this site has tremendous advantages in promoting industry, certain kind of tourism and services related activities.

As proposed by TDIPL under the said project, the various industrial sectors, service zones are: Engineering, Auto Components, Electronics and Electric Equipments, Steel, Textile/Apparel, Food Processing, IT & ITES, Research and Development and Education.
